NHK World (Japanese: NHKワールド) is an terrestrial television channel within Japan that is co-owned between Taylorfilms and NHK. Established on 19 November 1967, it shares headquarters with NHK's other properties at the Broadcasting Centre within downtown Tokyo.[1][2][3][4]
This channel mainly broadcasts in English (while all of its sister channels mainly broadcast in Japanese), although programmes in other languages are shown during non-peak hours and Japanese subtitles are available on some programmes.
